All the South African cellular operators will compensate their subscribers for the recent BlackBerry downtime.
Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, 8ta and Virgin Mobile will all compensate their BlackBerry subscribers for the recent downtime caused by problems on the Research in Motion network.

Cell C , 8ta, MTN and Vodacom
Cell C:
Cell C said that they will give their customers R10 off the cost of their Blackberry Internet/Enterprise Service for the month of October and 10 free SMSes for the time they could not use Blackberry Messenger.
Vodacom:
Vodacom will give all BlackBerry customers affected by this week’s service disruption 20 free Vodacom to Vodacom minutes for use from Monday to Friday next week. In addition to this we they will also be giving affected customers 20 free SMSs for the inconvenience of the past few days.
MTN
MTN said that they will give their customers R10 credit to affected Blackberry BIS/BES customers.
8ta
8ta they will give their customers R10 refund, free 28 minutes and free 28 SMSes.
