Nigerian twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P Square, concluded a strategic licensing & partnership deal with the Universal Music Group Sub Sahara Africa.
Group Executive Director, Lindelani Mkhize enthusiastically announced the significant deal at the Universal Music head quarters in Wierda Valley, Sandton.

“This marks the first visible commitment from Universal to the African continent. We are very excited by the fact that there was a meeting of minds between ourselves and P Square which has culminated in this moment”, said Mkhize.
Peter explained: “P Square have managed to sell millions of albums and gather many fans all over the world and especially in Africa through their individual efforts. By teaming up with Universal Music, we are now ready to take our music and our brand to the next level.”
Lindelani Mkhize explained that there are two key objectives to this deal. One is to make P Square’s music available to their South African & other African fans through physical and digital distribution, which will also include a promotional tour in South Africa. Secondly, to work with P Square and develop them as a global brand from Africa.
